Red Sox Over Orioles

Mosquito Report
Red Sox 12
Orioles 9

Mosquito Red SoxLions Park was once again a wonderful setting for a sunny evening of Mosquito baseball, with the unbeaten Orioles facing the 1-1 Red Sox.  In a game that saw a little bit of everything, the Red Sox would prevail 12-9.  Highlights included a tremendous 3-run home-run from the Red Sox over the left-field fence in the second inning.

orioleThere weren’t too many bright spots for the Orioles, but one certainly was Josh Parmar, who continues to grow by leaps in bounds in his first ever year of baseball.  Another was Cade Vanderwoude, who was strong at the plate and in an inning of pitching. Dakota Janzen also delivered from the mound, as he again struck out three in the final inning, keeping the game in reach. Unfortunately, the Orioles backs couldn’t capitalize in the bottom half, thanks to some good pitching from Red Sox closer Joel Robinson, who was one of several Red Sox who stood out with great games.

The teams now both have 2-1 records and will need to win to keep pace in the competitive American League standings.
