As we wind down the Tadpole 2 season, we look forward to a summer full of All-Star baseball! Mini Mosquito is an introduction to “rep” baseball and also an introduction to Mosquito baseball rules including Base Stealing, Bunting, Sliding, using a hard ball and players pitching for the entire game.

 

Every Tadpole 1 and Tadpole 2 player is encouraged to try out this Sunday, June 8th @ Little Delair Park from 4-6pm.

Under-aged Mosquito players are eligible to try out but priority will be given to Tadpole players.

 

  • We will make every effort to field 2 Mini-Mosquito Teams to represent Abbotsford this summer with 12 players on each Team.
  • The Season runs from the end of June to the very end of July with tournaments almost every weekend.
  • Expect a full schedule; between league games, tournaments and practices you can expect to be at the ballpark approximately 6 days per week.
  • Practices may take place during the day or evening on weekdays.
  • League games will take place on weeknights and may involve travel all over the Lower Mainland.
  • Tournaments will include games on Friday nights and all day Saturday & Sunday. Tournaments may include travel outside the Lower Mainland.
  • Games are played with Mosquito rules.
  • Registration Fee will be $150 per player to cover the cost of uniforms, umpires and tournament fees. Some extra fund-raising may be necessary.
  • This is a Fun, Competitive and Intense season which requires a serious commitment from players and coaches. It is for players who are competitive and really want to get better at baseball.
