It is not just winning baseball games that make our players, coaches and supporters great representatives of the AAHA. This letter came to us after the Boulanger Tournament in Cloverdale:
My name is Jeff Sandes and while I wear different hats with Cloverdale Minor Baseball, I also umpire. This weekend I had the privilege to be behind the plate for two of your Bantam AA team’s games and I wanted to tell you the team is AAA when it comes to class. Your head coach, Ben Dahlen, showed great leadership during both the good times and the adverse, had dignified control of his players even when they were upset, and the parents were out in full support, always cheering, never complaining. The entire team family is clearly on the same page with their approach to being competitive, yet not at the expense of poor conduct or sportsmanship. They were the only team to battle a powerful Tri-Cities team in the semi-finals and lost a closer than the scoreboard said 6-2 game. Truly impressed and I hope you get more feedback supporting the coaching staff of this team.
