Astros and Cards Win to Create Logjam in Pool A
It was an evening of bounce back games as the Astros defeated the Yankees 7-5, while the Cardinals upended the Pirates 9-6. That leaves all four teams in Pool A tied with 1 and 1 records. On Monday the Astros will host the Cards at Centennial while the Yankees are home to the Pirates at Lions, with the winners of those games advancing to the Cup Semifinals.
Pool B resumes on Sunday with the Cubs and Dodgers squaring off at 6:00 PM at Lions, while the Red Sox and Expos play at 6 at Centennial.
Prior to that, the Royals and the White Sox begin their three game series for the Mosquito Shield with Game 1 going at 3:00 at Lions Park.
