Angels Prepare for Provincial Championships

awingWith Provincial Championship Tournaments set to go around BC starting on Thursday, Abbotsford Angels teams are making their final preparations over the next few days before heading off to their respective tournaments.

Vancouver Island is the destination for two Angels squads, as Mosquito A heads to Victoria  this week while Mosquito AAA Tier 2 is off to Duncan next week.  Mosquito AAA, meanwhile, heads to Kamloops, looking to defend the title they won last year in single A.

In Peewee the AAA Angels will be in Cloverdale.  This group won back to back Championships in Mosquito A and AAA. After the core of the group got to the Semis in AA last summer, they are eager for another shot at Gold and the possibility of National Championships beyond.

bcbaseballIn Peewee AA, the Angels qualified for the Provincials on the back of a 5 game winning streak to end the season.  The team is hot at the right time and will look to surprise some teams in Port Coquitlam.

In Bantam A, the Angels currently sit in a strong playoff position and have the lowest runs against of all teams in the province.  When the season ends this week they will be making plans for the Provincials in Burnaby starting August 6.

The Bantam AAA Angels had a strong spring and summer. They went 25-11 in league play and now head to Kelowna for the Provincial Championships and a shot at National Championships after that.

Good luck and best wishes to all of the Abbotsford Angels who will be representing the AAHA and the City of Abbotsford at the 2014 BCMBA Championships!  Have fun and play hard!
